At ROOTS, we believe that families are an integral part of our community and one of the most influential factors in their children's lives. We know that our youth are most successful when they have the support of adult allies through their families, their schools, and beyond.
At FamilyROOTS, our goal is to provide spaces where families can:
- begin to engage in dialogue about the impact of oppression on their lives
- participate in experiential activities that support their identity development
- develop strategies to better support their children's identity development
- engage in collective family growth.
We believe that the three dimensions of our programming: YouthROOTS, EducatorROOTS, and FamilyROOTS, help educate and support the growth of the whole child.
